How to hard reset Samsung Focus i917

I have the Samsung Focus which i purchased online. After sometime i needed to perform hard reset on the phone. Below is what i did:

1. Make sure that your Samsung SGH-I917 Focus is switched off and has no SIM or Memory cards present inside.

2. Take out its battery for 10 seconds then put it inside the phone again.

3. Press and hold Camera key + Volume Down Key + Power button.

4. Keep pressing the above keys until the device vibrates and then release the Power key only.

5. Wait until you Get the Exclamation sign on screen and then release the remaining keys.

6. Use the Windows button to confirm the hard reset operation.

7. The device will ask for second confirmation, So press the Windows button again.

8. Wait for the device during the hard reset operation but do not remove the battery. The phone will take some time to reboot.

9. Wait for it to be fully on and then you can start using it. Enjoy!

How to delete all the contacts in my Mi Cloud

Mi provides us the facility to sync all our data such as Contacts, SMS etc. on the Mi Cloud.

There is often felt the need to delete some or all of these contacts. Below is the list of steps that works:

1. Login to the Mi Cloud via the URL : https://i.mi.com

2, Enter the email address configured followed by the password and then click on Login

3. Click on the Contacts button

4. Search Contact page gets loaded

5. Select the first contact by clicking on the right tick

6. A "Select All" option will appear below the Contacts list box

7. Click on the Delete button (in the shape of recycle bin)

8. A pop-up dialogue appears asking for confirmation

9. Press OK to delete all the contacts

10. Same steps can be performed to delete the SMS, photos etc.

A word of advice : If the number of contacts is huge, i would recommend you filter the contacts based on first two or first three character and then follow the steps from 6 to 9
