How to get the owner's details from the vehicle registration number in India??

Owners details can be obtained as below:-

1. Type SMS as VAHAN <space> the vehicle's registration number (upper case letters with no spaces) and,

2. Send it to 7738299899.

(eg: VAHAN MH14DY6520)

Details such as the,

• vehicle owner's name, 
• the car's model, 
• fuel type, 
• category (e.g. LMV), 
• RC expiry date and 
• motor vehicle tax validity 

will be received via SMS shortly.
